I’ve been a professional narrator for nearly a decade.

My grounded, youthful Midwestern voice evokes the sound of an authentic young professional wearing glasses and a cute pair of flats.

My sound is the perfect choice when you need an intelligent, relatable voice that isn’t overly polished.

A wide range of topics

Here are two true facts about me:

1. As a child, I read the encyclopedia for fun.
2. In university, I used to go to the library, pick a random book off the shelf, and bliss out quietly for the rest of the afternoon.

So here’s the bottom line: I like to read, and I like to learn. As a professional voiceover artist, I love the opportunity to continue exploring a wide range of topics ever day.

Training and education

Encyclopedia reading aside, my formal educational background is diverse. It includes a B.S. and M.A. in psychology, a B.A., in music (I was training to be an opera singer), and a minor in statistics, all with top grades and academic honors.

I have real-life experience working in legal and medical offices, plus extensive phonetic training as a singer, so I’m comfortable with even the most challenging vocabulary.

The baseline sound of my straightforward and engaging voice is youthful and natural. My tone ranges from serious and emotional to inspirational and motivational, and from flat and detached or dry and witty to brave and thoughtful. I can be the articulate energetic announcer or the conversational relaxed real person.

I’m ready to perform a variety of styles to suit your project. I have real-life teaching experience ranging from university statistics instructor to K-12 musical theater teacher, so I can adjust my tone to match your audience. And I have an extensive background as a stage and film actor, so I don’t just read the words—I embody them.

My love of vocal performance started early. In high school, I was a State Quarterfinalist in Oratorical Interpretation (my signature speech was Patrick Henry’s “Give Me Liberty, Or Give Me Death”), and my high school speech teacher used my presentation on “How to Make Grape Jelly” as the benchmark example for other students.
