Wry and Dry Midwestern Voice Over

As a native of Cleveland, Ohio—where the skies are partly cloudy, the folks are mostly kind, and the sports teams always lose—I was raised to deliver a special variety of wry and dry Midwestern voiceover.

Flat, unimpressed, and deadpan

Yup, sometimes my voice sounds flat, unimpressed, and deadpan. Why? I’m from Ohio. Look around. We don’t suffer fools here. My neighbors aren’t walking their designer pups in The Hills while sipping obscenely expensive espresso concoctions. We’re busy and industrious—cuz hey, that driveway isn’t going to plow itself. There’s 8 feet of snow and our snark keeps us warm.

Sarcastic, dry, and sardonic

I’m not just from Anywhere, Ohio. I’m from CLEVELAND, Ohio, which has a long history as the butt of the joke (even though The Land of Cleve is actually a vibrant city with a top-twenty media market, but hey, who’s counting?) As every bullying victim knows, a good sense of humor goes a long way. So, over the decades, we’ve honed our wit to defend ourselves. We see the jokes coming a mile a way, and we’re prepared with our own sarcastic, dry, and sardonic retorts.

Pro Home Studio

You know what the best part of my fully equipped pro home studio is for me? The home part. But for you, it’s the broadcast-quality audio that I can deliver round the clock at your convenience.

Studio gear

My studio features a Sennheiser MKH 416 microphone, Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface, and Adobe Audition recording software in an acoustically treated booth in the magical Cleveland suburbs. I dunno for sure if the suburbs are magic, but it feels that way. Or if not magical, at least mildly enchanted.

Connection options

You don’t have to travel to The CLE for our collaboration. No matter where you’re based, we can connect in real-time for our recording session via video chat, phone, or Source-Connect. So even if you’re at home, too, we can produce broadcast-quality audio while both pretending that we’re wearing real pants like professionals.
